I did some dealerspotting at Al Ain Class Motors while I was in Dubai, and OMG do they have the single greatest collection I’ve ever seen. And that’s coming from someone who’s seen multiple Veneno’s and lost count of all the LaFerrari’s I’ve seen.
They had three of Mansory’s cars (DB11, SLR McLaren, Veyron), two Koenigseggs, the Holy Trinity, a Singer, the Rolls-Royce Hyperion, a Reventon, and much more.
Sadly, their Veneno roadster was covered by a tarp (look in the background of the orange Murci SV photo), so my Veneno count remains at 2. Sad!

The CCX is such a clean design. Now if only the interior wasn’t red.

Your pictures are amazing!
Similar to most of the world, t here’s a pretty significant separation of wealth in Dubai, and it is largely concentrated among the sheikhs / ruling family and nationals (actual citizens of UAE) .

It’s like they heard “British racing green” via a game of telephone, and ended up with candy apple green with forged carbon accents over a bright silver leather interior.

It was pretty exciting for me to see a culture that isn’t ashamed of its wealth. Whereas wealthy Americans wear a black suit and drive a matching black Audi, the Saudis casually roll up in a flamboyant hypercar.
My street spots included an orange Aventador S, green GT3 RS, red 599 GTB, s ilver F12 tdf, blue Aventador SV, red Huracan Performante , and silver 918 Spyder. Not to mention about 50+ white Rolls Royce’s.

It was pretty similar to the allegations against Kevin Spacey, except it never went anywhere. Probably because Takei not only has a way more defensible image than Spacey (not being a complete closet case, for starters) , but he also denied the allegations. Meanwhile, Spacey apologized for what he did, I think? In short, the allegation was not believable.

I never thought of it that way....I am glad there’s people who have wild tastes because they make sure the ridiculous car companies stay in business.
But the UAE has always been a monarchy and inherent wealth has never been socially frowned upon.
Shaming, protests or public outcry doesn’t really happen when there’s no free speech. And majority of the people are immigrants tied to a job or business, that exists as long as you stay in the good graces of the few.
I don’t mean to be a debbie downer. This sort of culture also makes second hand exotics accessible. No other small country has this amount of options in used high performance/luxury cars.

Accused, never proven (or really believed). To the best of my recollection.
